HEART OF THE WOLF by Terry Spear

In the world of werewolves who live among us, Ms. Spears dwells deep inside the head of the wolf pack mentality and portrays a woman/wolf’s eerie life as she hides from certain rape and a life of beastial despair.

Bella fled her adoptive pack years ago and lives a ‘normal’ life in the world of men. She left the male, Devlyn, with whom she had grown to love. When he dared to show his feelings, he’d signed his own death warrant from Volan, the alpha.

They become entangled again when she goes for a ‘run’, is captured, and placed in a zoo. She escapes after turning human (that darn moon!) and we follow her as she flees from the man who wants to control her as well as the man who realizes how much he loves her.

Plenty of action, amid sensual scenes or love and sorrow made this a great read and so different from any other werewolf novel to cross my bookshelf.

‘Heart of the Wolf’ was published in 2008 by Sourcebooks Casablanca.
