One of my favorite books finding a permanent home on my shelf is ‘A Fire Fighter in the Family’ by Trish Milburn. The cover originally caught my eye. An all American male and a uniformed woman washing a black dog in a washtub in front of two fire engines? Heaven to this former EMT and volunteer firefighter. Plus, this was another Harlequin American Romance and I knew the book would be fun to read. Little did I know this also included a murder mystery! Hurt and pain mixed with family squabbles, sexual tension and a great beachside location made this a hard-to-put-down treat. In the end, both the hero–troubled Zac Parker–and our heroine–Randi Cooke–led me on a great adventure while proving HEROES DO EXIST!
I’d love to hear your comments on a hero in your life.Nancy

This was a great book, one of Harlequin’s finest and not just a ‘romance’. The dark secrets and rekindling love kept me wondering what was gonna’ happen next!
